Surreal Identity — an award-winning editorial exploring self-expression, trauma, and individual chaos.
Developed for stylist Polina Saraeva, the campaign marks her evolution from behind-the-scenes creator to manifested protagonist — using fine-art photography to articulate a raw emotional narrative that deliberately rejects conformity.
Two
visual worlds.
One fractured identity.
The project split across two contrasting fields: minimalist, high-contrast studio portraiture sculpting avant-garde garment silhouettes — and complex digital compositions set against environmental backgrounds.
Each conceptual scene mirrored a fragment of a single personality: a satirical, oversized hair sculpture. An inner-world pool landscape composed inside the subject's own mouth.

Specialized high-fidelity studio lighting combined with advanced digital photo manipulation built a seamless physical-to-digital world. Multi-disciplinary designer garments merged with custom graphic design to achieve a distinct aesthetic: subversive luxury, tailored for international press.
